The Blue Marlin project

I first got in touch with Capt. Chip Berry of Maps Unique when a potential client of mine from North Carolina requested that I do a commissioned painting of a Great Blue Heron on one of the deep sea fishing maps that Maps Unique produces. I explained to Chip who I was and what I was doing and after seeing some of my paintings online he agreed to provide me with the map that I needed for my project.
We also started having conversations about collaborating on a series of fine art prints using all of his maps. I would paint a Blue Marlin and get it professionally scanned and then digitally superimpose the painting over all of Capt. Chip's deep sea fishing maps. After doing a few rough layouts to show him what this might look like we were off and running.
